Goh Thew Chik Hainan Chicken Rice (伍秀澤海南鸡饭)

One line to display the coffee shop name in both language, "Kedai Kopi Thew Chik Cafe"

When Penang is going green recently, even, naming the coffee shop is not an exception, going for both Malay and English languages in one line, "Kedai Kopi Thew Chik Cafe". In Malay language should be "Kedai Kopi Thew Chik" and in English, should be "Thew Chik Cafe". When both were combined, it became - Kedai Kopi Thew Chik Cafe. However, Penang is still the Paradise of Food! This post I am going to introduce the chicken rice in Penang. This going green shop is selling Hainan Chicken Rice, which is situated along Lebuh Chulia, Penang.

The rice

The special thing is the fragrance of the rice. The rice smells good and nice. They serve both roasted chicken and steamed chicken.

Steamed and roasted chicken

The portion of the chicken is for two persons. If you noticed, there were a mixture of steamed and roasted chicken. It is quite cheap as well. Two rices and a plate of mixture of chicken as shown above cost us RM8.00 only, which is RM4.00 per person.

The stall

The price is either RM3.50, RM4.00 or RM5.00. It is a nice chicken rice and worth to try. But, limited parking space.
