Asian Cultural Village, Sadao, Songkhla, Thailand

Asian Cultural Village
Maybe most of you already knew this but there is a new attraction located at the border of Malaysia and Thailand, a place called "Asian Cultural Village 亚洲文化村". This place or "village" is kind of new because most of the places within the place are still under construction. However, some interesting places are now opened for public. Since the location of this village is near the border, you will expect that most of the visitors are Malaysians.

The map for Asian Cultural Village
(Taken from its Facebook, link below of this post)
Actually the whole place is quite huge with lots of hotels and clubbing spots surrounding it. During my visit here, I went to Pig Village, Happy Garden, The Park of Eighteen Disciples of Buddha, Rabbit Garden, Wishing Corridor, Panda Garden and Light Up Your Life. I don't visit Dinosaur Park because of the entrance fee of 100 bahts, which I regretted.

Pig Village

Inside the Pig Village, there is a duck farm. You can actually buy some milk (20 bahts per bottle of milk) to feed the piglet. But before you buy the milk, make sure the piglet is not full or else the piglet might not drink it.

Warning: You might not be able to stand the smell in the Pig Village and duck farm. There is a corner where the water splashed from the water wheel might wet you while you walk on the path and the water I assume is full of ducks' dump and urine!

Happy Garden

I have no idea why do they call it Happy Garden where it is more like a mini zoo to me! I tried to smile and laugh when I entered the garden but I guess it is just the name.

The Park of Eighteen Disciples of Buddha

You can see all the Eighteen Disciples of Buddha with a LED dragon together with 活佛济公(Huo Fo Ji Gong) a.k.a The Crazy Monk statue. The statues of the Eighteen Disciples of Buddha are as followed in numbering order but I can't read Chinese, so I am not sure of the name.

Maybe you can visit this park in the evening/night for a better view of the LED dragon.

Rabbit Garden

In this garden, you can run around with the rabbits and buy some foods to feed them. A packet of carrot costs 50 bahts but be warned that all the rabbits might have been fully fed because I saw lots of carrots on the floor.

And PLEASE DO NOT ABUSE THE RABBITS IN THE GARDEN! LOOK OUT FOR THE GUIDELINE CARD ON HOW TO CARRY/LIFT A RABBIT SO THAT YOU WILL NOT HARM YOURSELF AND THE RABBIT!

Wishing Corridor

Pardon me for the bad quality of the pictures because my S5 does not work well at night.

Panda Garden

Please do not sit on the panda because they are fragile!

Light Up Your Life

These are few of the places of attraction around the village and I guess more are coming soon! I stayed one night in this village and at first I stayed in VJ Villa which is a single house with private car park. Inside the house, there is a living room and next to the living room is the bedroom and toilet. However, during my stay, the air conditioning was not working well and I felt really hot in the room. I requested to change the room but unfortunately, VJ Villa was fully booked at that time. The staff offered me a stay at the Container Stay instead. However, during my stay, the Container Stay is not open to public yet because there is no WiFi and no TV connection yet. Oh ya, during my stay in VJ Villa, it is including breakfast and 2 tickets to Rabbit Garden.

How nice they made two elephants out of bath and hand towels
I regretted for not visiting the Dinosaur Park but overall it was nice experience! This place is more than just Asian Cultural but I think cultures across the world if you walk around the places with Panda and Light Up Your Life. A place not to be missed when you are crossing the border. There are lot of clubbing spots nearby with a huge 7-11 as well within that area.

VJ Villa is a small house with a room, a small living room, a small fridge, toilet and a car garage good for one car. I am not sure how's it now, but that was during my stay there.
